Ellora-Ajanta International Festival

Ellora-Ajanta International Festival is one of the most well-known annual festivals. It is held every year in between the months of November and March for five days in Aurangabad region of Maharashtra at the backdrop of Ellora caves. A popular historical monument, Ellora and Ajanta caves portrays the exquisiteness of Indian architecture and heritage. Ellora-Ajanta International Festivals organized by Aurangabad Tourism Foundation and Maharashtra Tourist Development Corporation. Splendid performances from some of the best-known exponents of Indian music along with dance forms that are both lavish and diverse; from classical to folk Dancing to Modern dances to instrumental and songs. The festival is known for its painting, cookery, rangoli, and other creative art competitions. The traditional culinary delicacies of Aurangabad are also exhibited at the Ajanta Ellora Festival. Additionally, the festival also celebrates the art & craft and handicrafts of India in the Kalagram, craft haat’ of the Ajanta Ellora Festival, along with a handicraft fair Jatanto showcase ancient relics and artifacts.

Chennai Corporation Hosts Concert in City Parks!

The Chennai Corporation, along with UNESCO Creative Cities Network, launched a collective that will curate and present unique collaborative performances in parks across the city. Chennai made it to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) for its rich musical tradition in 2017. According to UNESCO, the goal of UCCN is to foster international cooperation among member cities committed to investing in culture and creativity for sustainable urban development, social inclusion and cultural vibrancy. The Greater Chennai corporation earlier this year in July launched the ‘concerts at the park’ initiative at Anna Tower Park. The civic body has planned to host music concerts in which both professional and amateur artists (singers and dancers) will perform every weekend. Khajuraho Dance festival 2019

The Khajuraho Dance Festival is the marvelous celebration of the Indian Art and culture against the Khajuraho temple backdrop. Famous for their erotic sculptures and nagara-style architectural symbolism, apart from the festival, the group of temples in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh itself is intriguing and attracts tons of visitors from all around the globe. The dance festival is organized by the Kala Parishad under the tutelage of Madhya Pradesh government. The dance performances comprise intricate foot skills of Kathak, cultured Bharathnatyam, poetic temple dance of Odissi, dance dramas of Kuchipudi and Manipuri and the Kathakali stage fights with elaborate masks. The performances are accompanied by the melodious strains of the flute and tanpura, rhythms of beats of the mridangam and tabla echoed by the ghungroo of dancers.
